I lucked upon checking this adventure off the bucket list because they attempted to hold the Eddie Aikau Surf competition while I was in Hawaii this year. What an amazing display of talent. The waves were over 20ft high and having surfed a few good waves in my life (meaning 8 ft maybe) it makes me REALLY appreciate what sort of mental and physical condition you have to be in to go and successfully surf waves that large. It was fun for me that day because I was able to shoot a few amazing photos, watch it with good friends and learn a little about business from the people I was with all in the same adventure.
